Great, you've picked out your award winning product or maybe you're just getting your foot in the door, whichever way you look at it, you have this daunting Mountain in front of you and at the peak is a sign that says "How to sell affiliate products on my website?"

It's not the vision you had at the top of the summit, but trust me when I tell you, this is going to be the easiest climb of your life!

My name is Michael Granados, for those that do not know me, I've built out one of the largest websites in the health and wellness niche, specifically tied down to lower back pain. So why should you care?

Over the last year and a half I've sold over 100 products from my own website fast, and without trouble. But it wasn't always that way, and In this article I'm going to highlight that life changing story along with how you can get started today selling your affiliate products directly on your website.

November 2017 Feels Like It Was  Yesterday

It was a chilly evening here in the Granados home, not because it was cold outside but because I was trying to figure out the exact same thing you are here for right now...

Where am I going to get a product? Where am I going to sell my products? How can I add products to my website? I knew people were making an impact in other peoples lives whilst making money at the same time, and guess who wanted a piece of that sweet apple pie?

You guessed it, you'rs truly. from  one of my ears I heard the words like:

  • Shopify
  • eCommerce
  • affiliate marketing
  • drop-shipping

They seriously went through one ear and out the other like I didn't even give it much thought. A week after my research and all these blogs and videos, I went OK, I can get started with Shopify, which if you don't know what that is...

It's basically where you setup a storefront online, you add a nice little cart at the corner of your site, and those who come by will have a chance yo buy the products you offer. Sounds like a sure deal right?

I'm not embarrassed nor sad to tell anyone anymore but I flopped. Yes, I closed shop in less than a day. But what drove me to this madness you ask?

Personally, it came down to preference, allow me to explain.

I didn't want to spend every wake of every other day spending money on advertisements, and going through Social to reach and every person in my niche who wanted the services I had to offer. That's when I had a HUGE realization.

There had to be a smarter way where I could save more money, while still getting my products in front of hundreds if not thousands(at the time this was a lot to me).

Websites Are Needed To Promote   Products

The birth of the the website came a couple days after I dropped the whole storefront idea. I was running out of patience at the time, I had been dealing with a job that I wasn't being appreciated for, undervalued, underpaid(earning minimum wage, with a degree), and I said enough was enough.

I turned back to the web, did my research and I found this thing called affiliate marketing.

At the time I was watching videos by a guy named the deadbeat super affiliate, a guy who would just sit in front of his laptop in his Red pajamas and loose t shirt every single day...DEAD SERIOUS.

I though this couldn't be done, but I was optimistic, and I'm glad I was because that lead me to where I am today. So I followed his advice...

  • I purchased a domain
  • Got hosting
  • Set up a WordPress website
  • Choose my niche
  • Got to writing

After I was done, I had about 3 different products on my website post, and I wrote some content around it so that it would look nice and clean. But I hit a dilemma...

I was not getting traffic. What the HELL! I did what I was told to do. Little did I know, I didn't optimize my website, OOPS.

When I mean optimize, I'm talking about the following things:

  1. SEO
  2. On site SEO
  3. Off site SEO

Now if you're a stranger to these words, all you need to know right now is that briefly, SEO is the process of getting your site structured in a way so google can rank you on the search engine.

When I first heard about SEO, a very bright light bulb came up and I can remember it so clearly because I got the goosebumps, like when someone rubs a balloon over your hair and it shoots up, yeah I had that moment.

You're going to love why, because you'll be able to post products on your site the right way, and get search rankings in google! How does that sound?

But Before I get to how you need to sell them the right way, let me tell you the shortcut...

To Sell Products On Your Website, You'll Need To Have The Right Training To Go With It. Check Out My #1 Recommendation On Selling Your Products On Your Website Faster

Ready Made Websites VS WordPress     Websites

There's this thing where you can select a niche, and who ever you sign up under, you can be given a free ready to go business website. While that sounds great and all, it doesn't help you either in the short or long term, and here's why.

Being given a website is hassle free, and usually there's no cost involved but the downfall for you is that you are not educated and trained to promote them on their websites or how to create content.

Content Is KING

Those three words you see up above get tossed around like a hot potato online, and if you haven't caught hold of it, don't worry, your time will come.

If you're going to have a website, you need to have content surround your product(s). This is what will separate you amongst what every other person is doing online:

  • directly linking
  • Providing no value

But I know this will not be you since you already have the idea that you need a website, now you just have to drive the vehicle.

According to forbes, "Content is quickly moving past marketing and is becoming a piece of the puzzle that is the way people interact with the world around them"

This is what content in a nutshell looks like:

When you post products on your website, if you;re doing affiliate marketing, you'll want to do some blogging around it to maximize your exposure, and for people to trust you, and get to learn about what they don't know about your products.

Otherwise, if you're just trying to place up a store, you might not need to do all this blogging or video uploading to YouTube.

Here's an example of how my products look:

STEP 1: Produce informational, educational and helpful content before you start to further show and explain the features and benefits of a product.

Step 2: Get into the products bullet points, benefits and features with links.

This is just one of the hundreds that I have on my website, but the most important thing is that I'm putting content around it.

Get A Head Start With Your Website

Is all this website talk going over your head? What I mean is that you might not even have a website up and running yet let alone know EXACTLY how to post your products on a website...Let's not end that with a YIKES though, and here's why:

If you're just starting this whole "sell affiliate products on a website thing" it can be a bit like telling your teacher you didn't do your homework(That was me once)...

Daunting. But it doesn't have to be a heart felt reality, it can be one that is one step away from changing the course of your learning and financial future.

A website will help grow your confidence and with the right practice not just selling but writing quality product reviews, you're going to KILL it! I know because I am now earning a living this way, and so could you very soon.

In case you're a newbie, or someone who's "not fresh from around the block" and has been online quite sometime but wants an everlasting and evergreen breakthrough at selling products online, you should check out how you can get over 25 websites, and up to 15 FREE domains with my # 1 Recommendation here.

 What Products To Sell?

I get this a lot, and it's a common question many people ask in general, and that's which product should I promote? If you're not sure about a product, maybe you're on the fence, you need to check out my article on how to make money reviewing products online.

But briefly, there are three great niches to get into, and they are:

  • Health and wellness
  • Wealth
  • Relationships

When you start broad searching, you can get into a much deeper sub topic of each of category. As I showed in my recent article how you're able to make money reviewing your own products online, you can select products based on websites like:

If you don't have an idea of what products to sell just yet, but you know the general "Niche" you are heading into, then base your products around that. For example here is how it would look step-by-step:

  1. I've selected Health and Wellness as my Niche.
  2. Sub Group is Lower Back Pain
  3. Your Niche: Lower Back Pain For A Herniated Disc

With that information on hand, you can learn, research what people are looking for and base your product(s) around it. So I know that people with a herniated disc are more likely to spend their money on things like a Desk chair or a heating pad, so My products and reviews will be based around these.

Advanced Strategies

If you're a beginner, the above information is enough for a foundation and you wouldn't have to worry from there on out, but let's say you wanted to know who your competitors were, and how you can get the edge over them...

STEP 1: Do Keyword research

STEP 2: Go To SEM Rush and see how much traffic volume this keyword gets and how your competitors(if any) are performing

STEP 3: Use Ahrefs tool to find more on page domain authroity for that keyword.

All this is called specific competitor analysis Keyword research, and basically you're going to get more information as to whether or not you could rank well for your product you plan to sell on your website Vs. You would be better off heading right into advertising.

How I Sell Products On My Website

As I'm thinking back to my early rookie days, I see someone with no experience and just always being frustrated about not getting results. It wasn't until I joined a community of people with superior training that I learned how to write about products and review them the correct way on my site.

I'm fortunate to be in a position now where I've been able to travel because I did all the work upfront, and now I can sit back and let the cash flow in.

If you're an affiliate and you're serious about selling your products online, you should check out my #1 recommendation.

It's allowed me to reach so many people in less time because I did the work upfront, and let the hard work speak for itself when I started making sales every day!

Plus, the best part was how I have been able to build highly converting landing pages/post inside of my website to capture more traffic and get people to buy over and over again.

If you have any questions, please leave me a comment below, and I will get back to you right away. I usually respond within a 24 hour time frame. Thanks!
