Most commonly know by you and I is Joshua's and his YouTube channel, and I’m sure you’ve run into his free videos as well his paid advertising ones, right?

This is the section of the blog post that gets interesting because Josh makes different types of videos for different types of business opportunities but I keep seeing the common trend with him these days and they mostly revolve around MLM type of Affiliate Marketing opportunities, what do I mean?

Let’s take a look at some of his latest videos first and then I’ll explain what I mean:

If you dig through his video, Josh has VERY Helpful and educational content on how to earn as An Affiliate Marketer by leveraging marketing systems but more specific in areas like:

• Clickbank
• Businesses in a box
• Done-for-you systems
• General Advice mixed with offers
• And so forth

I feel like a lot of his earlier content was far useful to me because everything I see now is no different than another “guru” trying to recruit other people into systems for affiliate commissions…

Like Josh promotes programs I would NEVER promote to my audience and to you because they are basically fluff to me and are only focused on short term solutions rather than going out there to build your own personal and business brand…

And a big reason he promotes these types of services is that most people(could be you too) don’t want to put any effort into making money online.

Like they don’t want to learn how to market, sell, use copywriting, and all these other SKILLS that are necessary…

So you could see why it’s easier to promote these “done-for-you” systems where you can earn loads which is possible but hardly works for the beginner because they don’t have an audience or authority…

Rather you end up spending over 90% of your precious time paying for ads to get people and that becomes costly.

And there’s way more. I don’t like this approach, and the thing with these gurus is that they want to squeeze the most amount of money out of people’s wallets no matter how much they say they “want to help you”.

Think about it, if these gurus spent less time promoting these types of systems, what else would they be doing? They can’t ACTUALLY show you how to build a passion, hobby, or interest that they PERSONALLY built, can they?

Not most. You should learn from someone who’s built a passion, hobby or interest in another niche aside from the “Make Money Online” space in industries like:

• Health and Wellness
• Dating and relationships
• Outdoor
• Technology
• Etc.

Do you see what I’m getting at? These “Make money online” gurus are just promoting to you borderline “Pyramid” type scheme programs(but with products) and just focus on recruiting other affiliate newbies or more experienced ones to basically build their downline like an MLM/Network Marketing scenario.

It’s clever I’ll give it to them, but that’s not the approach you want to take. These people will tell you how much money they make but have you asked how much they had to spend to get those?

Some people put in like $5,000 to make like $8,000 which I get, but still, this is insane for the beginner. And even if they tell you they don’t spend on traffic, they are getting it organically with their channel(s), and you don’t have that level of authority…

And trust me you wouldn’t want to promote as they do.

I won’t go into great detail about each product but all you have to know is that these are just programs designed to get you and the average person to buy more upsells in the like $5,000+ that you won’t even need!

Joshua like many other “Affiliate Marketers” comes from the network marketing/MLM scene so even if they are in the affiliate space, they know how to use affiliate marketing to promote “MLM” type programs like the three I just listed…

Joshua Elder Affiliate Program

Joshua made a component where you can become an affiliate for his courses and promote them to other people...Likely the same people who were just in your shoes.

His program operates like most High ticket digital education courses where you can use the skills learned to promote other digital products and or you can resell his course. I'm truly not a big fan of this model...

Where people join to then just resell it. It's useful if you don't have a product to promote yes, but it get's very repetitious and annoying and harder to do because you just join a program to then resell it.

I don't see much passion for that. PLUS: You can't be an affiliate for Joshua's products unless you pay for his program first.

How Much Does Joshua Elder Cost?

Joshua’s High Ticket Affiliate Accelerator course is $1,497. This is not something I stand behind in recommending to beginners because you’ll end up spending A LOT more on upsells and you’ll have to spend on the Clickfunnels Sales Funnel Builder(Link) tool, use pay per click advertising, and get an email autoresponder that can all be costly…

So you’ll be far over $2,000 to begin. PLUS, knowing the way Joshua elder promotes and the type of affiliate programs he promotes, I wouldn’t want to join anyway.

Pros:

Cons:

• Joshua is very clever at promoting to you systems where when you join, you’ll turn back around and promote the same product to the same type of people, and you’re really not promoting a product...You’re promoting the tools and business opportunities to people. Again, Joshua comes from the MLM side of things so he knows what he’s doing

Alternatives

What I Liked Most About Joshua Elder

There’s a lot to like about Joshua but the ONE thing I liked most was that he releases very helpful YouTube content for Free on beginning topics of affiliate marketing and is also consistent on releasing videos on the latest products/services and gives you his honest opinion.

Joshua hands out great tips on things like:

• Why your business isn't working
• What to do to fix it
• What to do next

And much more. He takes you by the hand and not only talks to you but shows you how a concept works which makes things easy to digest and understand.

What I Didn’t Like

I really don’t like the trend he’s going through which is releasing AND recommending products/services about “Done-for-you” commission type systems in his YouTube videos, why?

These types of programs fade out for one, but they are also very “Pyramid Scheme” type on the fact that even if they have a product, they’re made to recruit people in, and then once you recruit a person, that person will then turn around and do the same thing…

And it becomes this massive Hybrid of Multi-Level Marketing and that’s the dark side of Affiliate Marketing so many of these systems creating “gurus” have become good at and are only good for.

Final Verdict: Is Joshua Elder A Real Scam?

No, not really. Although Joshua has somewhat of a reputation in the network marketing space and promoting “Pyramid Scheme” type affiliate marketing business systems, he’s very credible and is a successful affiliate marketer, but listen to this…

He’s no different than the next “Make Money Online” space guru who has mastered how to use marketing and sales to lure you and I into buying courses, done-for-you systems that dry out(and not good for you to begin with) and make most of their money “selling you the dream”...
